Advantages: Easy to make. Looks and tastes delicious.

Disadvantages: High in calories.

This is my favourite starter for when I am making a big meal and I don't have a lot of time for fiddling.

It's so easy. No cooking required.

~~~Ingredients~~~
One tub of Philadelphia Cream cheese.
One jar of Sweet Chilli sauce.
A large pack of plain doritos or salty crackers.
~~~Method~~~

1. Get the tub of Philadelphia Cream Cheese out of the fridge.

2. Get a nice plate (a rectangular one looks best!) that is about twice as big as the Philly cheese tub.

3. Run your knife around the Philly' and ease it out onto the middle of the plate. Tidy it up with the knife because it never comes out in a complete block!

4. Admire it's symmetry.

5. Pour the Chilli Sauce over it so it is evenly covered!

6. Admire the pretty colours.

7. Put the Doritos or Ritz crackers in a bowl. (ignoring the temptation to eat the broken ones!)

8. Serve to your guests.

9. Watch them fight to see who can get the most on their dorita without actually getting their fingers in the dip.

~~~Variations~~~
Use low fat Philly instead of the full fat one. You can't taste the difference.
Asda make a very good Sweet Chilli sauce for about 40p less than the Samoy brand.
Cut the cheese into as many portions as you have guests and serve up on individual plates. (If you have a dishwasher!)
Serve with kettle crisps. Ordinary crisps are too flimsy.
~~~

My daughter brought this recipe back from Australia.

It really is delicious and looks very pretty because of the Chilli sauce.
A small pack of Philadelphia is enough for six people but any more than that needs a big tub.

It is also good for picnics if you have the right sized sealable tub. (Take some moist hand wipes!)

Enjoy!

Summary: A simple way to give your guests a treat.
