Advantages: quick to prepare and delicious
Disadvantages: contains fat but not much
Being an Indian and 100% vegetarian by birth, i would like to share with you a very sweet and unusual recipe.
I belong to Chandigarh. It lies in North India and is better known as "The City Beautiful".
Well, Chandigarh is a joint capital of Haryana and Punjab so its dishes have a tint of both the states, making them really unique and delicious.
I would talk about "Churma or Churi" as called in our indegenious language.
Its origin is Rajasthan, a city known for its rich heritage and culture.
So, here comes the recipe of mouth-watering Churma:
Ingredients
----------------
1 cup kneaded wheat flour
1/2 cup ghee
1/2 cup sugar
Method -- Serves 3.
------------------------
1. Make 6 round balls with the provided flour.
2. Roll them into chapatis(pancakes) with the help of a rolling pin.
3. Heat up a pan and sprinkle some ghee in it.
4. Place the chapati on pan till it changes to golden brown from both sides. Apply ghee on it while changing sides.
5. Prepare all chapatis(called as "pranthas") in a similar way.
6. Now, take a big plate and mash all the paranthas with the help of a rolling pin.
7. Add 2-3 tbl spoons of ghee and 1/2 cup sugar and mix it nicely.
8. Divide the mixture in 3 pieces.
You surely will love it!!!
Summary: An unusual vegetarian recipe ideal for breakfast and snacks
