Advantages: Tasty, Cheap
Disadvantages: None
Not very original I know but I tell you what this is a delicious meal, even if you are not a vegetarian and it is good for you as it is all veg. It tastes lovely and you can add any veg that you like not just what I am saying to add, if you like your food quite cheesy use a stong cheese otherwise use a level 2 cheese as you will not have much taste. This is what you need 1 cauliflower brocolli 2 carrots cheese flour milk .5 pint breadcrumbs Boil the veg until cooked, and pour into a casserole dish. To make the cheese sauce put a spoonful of butter into a saucepan and melt slowly, once melted add a spoonful a flour and stir in, add some milk and keep stirring then add the grated cheese gradually and keep adding the milk, the amount of cheese you use depends on how cheesy you want it, but dont add to much as it will go all gloopy. Keep stirring until the cheese has blended in and it has the same consistency as gravy would (it is like making gravy). You could even buy a packet of cheese sauce mix if you are not sure. Pour the cheese sauce over the veg and put the breadcrumbs on top, and bake until golden It really is a lovely dish, so tasty, and good for you, it is also a cheap meal to make, you do not even have to use fresh veg you can use frozen

- 07/11/01 Maybe a rough guide to the amount of cheese would be a good idea, I would hate to find I ran out before reaching perfection :o) |
