Sandwich.
What’s my favourite sandwich?, well I love bread a white crusty bead or a wheat wholemeal with grains in it, I love tomato bread, cheesy bread all sorts of bread apart from pappy sliced bread the white is the worst , occasionally I buy this for toast or keep one in the freezer for desperate occasions.
I quite like a toasted sandwich but not as much as an untoasted one. I do not have to take sandwiches for work as I eat a school diner with the kids. So here is my favourite sandwich to take on a picnic. It’s a cheese and pickle one.
Made with thickly cut white crusty bread, the bread spread with butter. The cheese I choose for the filling a fairly strong cheddar cheese. Then a little Branston pickle.
I also love equally a bacon sandwich, nothing better than the smell of bacon.
Occasionally on holidays we will have bacon butty in the morning bacon cooked on camp fire (ok camping gaz) fresh bread bought from local bakers. I am not too fussy if it’s brown or white bread. I butter the bread put the smoked bacon on it maybe add a fried tomato half. Delish, comforting, filling. The bacon butty (sandwich) sets us up for a days walking and exploring in the hills.
I also like a good hearty ham sandwich, or chicken salad sandwich huge pieces of bread or a baguette stuffed with as much lettuce tomato and onion rings as you can stuff in (no cucumber in mine please) Then a decent slice of chicken breast.
As you can tell from above I do not like a dainty sandwich made with bread cut into triangles and crusts cut of.
Right now off to make a sandwich for lunch a home made one not a bought one they are so expensive .
Summary: yumm yumm
