Samsung RSA1WTMH
by mardymum I have long dreamed of having an American Style fridge freezer but they have always been prohibitively expensive and often too big especially in depth. I have a "petite" kitchen and was worried one of these beasts would dwarf it. I have now owned this fridge freezer for 4 months and couldnt be happier. - The delivery ... was a bit interesting as there was talk of needing to remove our kitchen door but luckily they squeezed it in - apparently a standard size door is too small to fit this through so be careful about choosing a reliable delivery service if you get this (tho this would be true of many american style fridge freezers so don;t hold it against the samsung!). - The exterior of the fridge is this gorgeous matt/silk slate grey silver. It doesn't show up fingerprints etc like many silver appliances, so is easy to clean and keep looking clean. - Handles are stylish and easy to clean too - The interior is so well designed. You can see alll of the contents of the shelves really well, and there are lots of door pockets, drawers and shelves etc to help you to organise your stuff, and its easy to clean in every respect - There are two sliding ice trays under a shelf whcih stops any bits dropping into the ice and making your drinks yukky, so I now use tonnes more ice than ever before and dont have to wrestle with ice cube bags! - I love the brita filter chilled water dispenser - my kids have started willingly drinking water so they can use the dispenser. Bit of a pest keep filling it but no way we could have a plumbed-in system - It is deeper than the standard size kitchen units it sits next to, so it sticks out a bit but somehow it doesn't matter and it certainly doenst overwhelm the kitchen. All in all great value for money, stylish and suitable for small kitchens as well as large. Read the complete review |

by darkjedig We have owned this fridge for about a year now and it is a relatively good refrigerator. We needed something bigger that didn't need plumbing in so the fact that this has a Brita filter dispenser in the door was the selling point for us. The ones that need plumbing in have a lot less space due to the ice maker in the freezer which takes ... up a whole shelf. This does not suffer from that, so you get more freezer space which is great for people with large families. The design is great, the digital settings for the temperature and child lock are a nice addition, and I like the fact that it beeps if left open too long. Our cheeky 2 year old likes to sneak into the fridge to try and find some chocolate and he always leaves the door slightly open, so the sound it makes lets us know what he's been up to! The only downside is the noise it makes. Every 20 minutes or so it starts making a buzzing noise which fades off after a few minutes but you can hear this from upstairs. It is not as noticeable after a while and is not a big problem, but I haven't had a fridge that did this before. Overall a good size fridge with water dispenser at a good price and I would recommend this to families. Read the complete review |

Samsung RSA1WTMH
by tigger1992 Samsung RSA1WTMH We got this fridge delivered on thursday and we purchased it from comet and so far I am really happy with it, in the way that it looks and the features of it too. It was a bit difficult for them to get it though the door and they had to take the fridge doors off but it got put back together ... easily. *About the product* The colour of the product is like a dull steel colour, on the site it says it is called manhattan silver - but it is not very shiny. It is an american style fridge freezer and it has a brita filter water dispenser too. The fridge section is larger than the freezer and they both have lots of shelves and drawers so there is so much room. On the front of the product above the water dispenser it has a screen with the temperatures of the fridge and freezer on it too. *My opinion of the product* One good and bad thing about this product is that if you forget and leave the fridge/freezer door open and the inside of the products gets to a higher temperature than it should, the product makes small but quite noisy beeping sounds which does warn you that you have left it open and should close it - but it does get a bit annoying when you are trying to find something and this beeping starts! They call this feature the open door alert. I really like the design of this product too, it looks more expensive than it actually was. It also has other extra features which are good too, such as two large chill drawers, A bottle rack in the door, Dairy compartment, 12kg freezer capacity, egg tray and it is easy to slide and move around a little bit to clean it/or move it to another place. I like the water dispenser too, but it is not really that useful is it - unless your water has been turned off or something, as it is just the same as a tap. But it does look better with it. I like the dimensions of this fridge/freezer too as the other one that we had was really really tall and quite narrow, but this one is quite short but really wide! So it is a lot better dimensions compared to the other fridge that we had. So it is easier to reach all of the stuff at the back, but now that it is bigger and wider it looks like there is less food in it! There is one thing on it that I am not sure about, as on the display on the front it has the temperature and a button with vacation under neath it. So I guess it means that you can put it in a different 'mode/setting' when you go on holiday, but I'm not sure. With the one that we had before it was very noisy and kept making random noises for no reason (see lee evans live at the o2 for more information)! But this one has not do that and it is really not that loud at all which is great too. Also a good feature (which we had in the other one too) is that the holders/sections on the inside of the doors can be moved. So that if something is too big to fit on one of the shelves, you can just move them to accommodate the items according to their size - Like some sort of fridge tetris! We got this one from curries and it cost less than I expected it to cost, which is always a good thing. For just under £600 from comet which is great and I think you can get it from boots appliances which I never knew existed! Overall, I really like this product, it is stylish, sleek and has other extra features. It is very spacious in the fridge and the freezer section, it has a brita filter water dispenser (which may come in handy if the tap broke or something like that)! Conclusions Good points *Large - wider and shorter than others *Brita filter water dispenser *Lots of space in both sections *Lots of extra features such as the bottle holder on the inside, ice cub trays and moveable shelves *Looks great *Fast freeze facility *Not as expensive as I thought it would be *LED temperature display and controls *Not very noisy *And a energy efficiency grade of A! - so it is better for the environment Bad points *None really!
