AEG Santo 72348 KA

I also am disappointed with my AEG Santo 72348 KA. It is five years old and has broken down. The service centre says the Circuit Board has failed and will cost £162 to repair. This same fault is described on a number of consumer sites & reviews, suggesting a problem with Santo circuit boards. Had the failure occurred in a part subject to everyday wear and tear, or had the fridge been inexpensive I would not have minded, but I would certainly expect such an expensive fridge to last longer than five years. GREAT PRODUCT!! PITY ABOUT THE FREEZING UP EVERY SO OFTEN, A REAL NUISENCE. THREE YEARS OLD AND FITTING THE SECOND SET OF SENSORS. ALSO, THE DOOR HINGES HAVE WORN BADLY. SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ON ANY PRODUCT AT THIS PRICE.

We will NOT be buying another one of these supposedly frostfree
fridges ! Like Graham we started getting heavy icing after 2years!

At the moment we are having to defrost it every fortnight !

Wow, can't belive previous review. We've had our fridge now for 6 months and it has been perfect. Really big inside and holds plenty of food for our family of four (I just do a big weekly shop and have a veg box). Love some of the features such as the bottle rack that seems now to be permanently stocked with wine) and the fast cool facility in the upper corner, that allows you to chill a bottle of wine super fast if you've forgotten to. Door shelves are spacious enough for plenty of milk (large 2 - 3 litre cartons) and other stuff. Big veg drawer too. Only complaint in a fridge this size is that the egg container only holds 6 eggs - in my opinion could do with holding ...  Read the complete review
