Beko Fridges & Freezers

Bought a Beko fridge/freezer on 17th Jan 07 from Currys. Last weekend it give up the ghost. It just went off, after making a loud gurgling noise. As it was in warranty, thought all I had to do was ring Curry's Support and that would be an engineer on his way. Sadly not the case. Beko's engineers didn't seem to take calls on Sundays. First thing Monday morning I rang for an engineer, but the first visit they could offer was Thursday. Comet PLC A big let Down...poor customer service Purchased a Beko Upright TZDA627FS Freezer in May 07 from Comet at Plymouth. When opening the top shelf unit the cover fell off due to a fault in the acrylic casting. Took the shelf back to the shop whereby they refused to replace the shelf. They stated that the shelf was not a necessary part of an upright Freezer. Perhaps I should now have to purchase frozen food which defies gravity and sticks to the back of the freezer.The freezer can now be said to be a Health & safety Risk.!!! How would you like a freezer that’s always so frozen over that getting anything in or out of it is a complete impossibility and a fridge that doesn’t get cold enough to keep your food fresh? No, don’t worry, this isn’t a description of my BEKO fridge/freezer, but the one it replaced. I moved house about a year ago and as my dear old chilling/freezing machine went on the blink at the very same time, it obviously didn’t approve. I hope I am not tempting fate by saying this but I have not had any problems with this fridge/freezer in 4 1/2 years. I originally bought it because it was one of the cheapest frost free fridge freezers on the market back in 2000, and it was big enough to hold all my frozen pizzas and cans of coke (just kidding, of course there are green things in my fridge as well … sometimes!) **Appearance** The unit is white, as are many kitchen appliances, which is fine by me.
