Advantages: A very good price.

Disadvantages: None as yet. Too early to say.

Just had one of these larder fridges delivered this morning to live in my garage.

I have a Beko 15 inch CRT telly in the kitchen I bought second hand off a student and it has been excellent. So I thought I'd give a Beko fridge a try. It cost £149.96 plus £20 delivery. from Miller Bros (QED-UK) on-line store. Their service has been faultless. Well packaged by the manufacturer.

The height of the fridge is 147cm, which is important in my garage, so it is of medium height. No freezer compartment in this larder model, which is important to me as it is standing next to my freezer, so it is not needed. Its a medium width 54cm model, which again was important in the tight fit.

Capacity is 9.2 cu ft. Metal exterior. Adjustable glass interior shelves and a chrome bottle rack. Self defrosting. This looks like a very good buy at this price. As it is out in a cold garage the fridge climate rating was important. This is an SN climate rating model (you need to find out what that means before buying a fridge or freezer, particularly if it is to be located in a garage or other cool outhouse. See the dooyoo buyers guide to fridges and freezers).

Energy A rated.

Waited four hours for it to settle after delivery and then switched on. Nice and quiet. Well made. Everyone well pleased. My Canadian built freezer is nearly 40 years old. I'll let you know how long the Beko lasts.

Update- 6 months old and still going strong. Well pleased. Supplier has gone bust in the downturn.

Summary: Worth a look if your old fridge is up for replacement and no freezer compartment required.

Handy review but with only such a short experience its hard to tell whether this is a worthy model or not. More info would be good here such as whether its frost free, what the capacity is like, what the quality of plastic is like for the boxes in general and general accomodation since it is a larder fridge and bigger than most without the ice box put in. Also what does "SN" mean in regards to it being a specific model?
