Advantages: Low energy model, easy clean glass shelves

Disadvantages: price

I've had this fridge for nearly three years now but it is still on the market. I've had a leaning towards Bosch for a decade and have had a few of their white goods. This leaning is due to the perception (backed up by Which? reports) that they offer high quality goods using decent technology making good use of resources (as well as looking good and doing their business well).

This fridge has been no exception. I went for a fridge as in the current location I didn't have room for larder and separate freezer setup. A big attraction for me was the flexible glass shelving system which can be arranged in a number of positions. I like the glass as it catches the drips and bits that occur and can be washed/dried easily and be SEEN to be clean. In common with most fridges today the main body has no problem with frost, only needing the occasional clean of the condensing surface. The freezer compartment is better than any fridge I've had before, actually capable of giving 3 months life. It is also relatively oblong in shape and so can accomodate frozen packages well. It rarely needs defrosting. Door shelving is flexible and can hold those huge multi litre bottles of milk without trouble.

The final big selling point for me is that it has an 'A' energy rating. It may only make a tiny difference to me individually but I think a few million tiny bits can add up into a real difference.

When I took delivery the door was hinged the wrong way around for my kitchen layout. The instructions explained clearly how to switch it around and I was done in 15 minutes.

Oh, and did I mention that it's quiet; no jerking into life like my last fridge.
