I had fitted built-in fridge freezers for othe people but never myself. They do look good (well the fact that you cannot see them) so i decided to buy one when i changed the kitchen.
They are very expensive though for what you get and electrolux are no different.
As a brand electrolux are AEG so I assumed i was getting AEG quality. I do not think that is what i have got.
It was a bit of a pain to fit but no more so than other built in fridge freezers. The doors fit quite easily and have quite good suction so you know that the cold is staying inside.
The capacity is something that i noticed almost straight away. In a 600 wide cabinet the capacity seems to be less than a freestander of the same width. I wanted to large fridge but the freezer part is so small its ridiculous and it is definately not frost free. It doesn't say it is but its like going back to the 1970's.
The unit runs very hot so make sure its well vented at the back and its is noisy. Noisier than any freestander i have owned.
The cost premium for built in appliances is ridiculous especially when you can get stainless steel front freestanders for the same price. If you do want a built-in then do not buy one of these. A 50/50 split would of been a better option and a different brand.
I hate to think about the energy consumption (C) and aain this is part of the extra cost for built in appliances (less features, lower energy rating for higher cost)
