Our fridge at home is nice and has a water cooler built in which is great especially as you can save so much on bottled water this way. The water comes out nice and chilled but the main problem I have with it is that once you open the door you see that the water reservoir takes up a lot of room and doesn't leave you much space for other ... things when it comes to door storage. Inside the fridge there are three movable shelves that can be adjusted as needed depending on what you are keeping in there. We have to move the lowest shelf upwards to make room for the cooked ham at Christmas for example. There is plenty of space in the salad area and this drawer works great at keeping the leaves crisp for longer.
The water cooler uses a Brita water system so the water is not only chilled it is also filtered to remove any impurities that may be lurking in our tap water. We use the water from the fridge in our kettle to ensure the water is as clear as possible. This means the water will take a little longer to boil seeing it's chilled but at least it's clean. The big water jug doesn't come off the inside of the door and that makes cleaning it a bit more fiddly than it need be. The fridge makes the odd noise like most do, but it's not disturbing at all and I can still hear the TV with it gurgling in the background.
The freezer is quite cool pardon the pun, it is frost free just like the refrigerator part, and this means no cleaning out frozen solid back panels like we had to do with our old fridge freezer. It has three separate sections and these are see through but these do tend to cloud up with condensation making it heard to see what's inside. You can wipe the outside but if the inside of the drawer is misty it makes very little difference.
The top is the smallest area but the two bottom drawers are nice and big. The top area is narrow and works well for the ice cube trays and narrow foods like pizza and frozen fish. The two other drawers have plenty of room for all the other things we keep in the freezer and it does a great job at freezing ice cream that has began to thaw on the way home in the car. It freezes it quickly so we don't end up with loads of ice chips in the ice cream. This is because there is a function to fast freeze. This makes the freezer work at top speed and the lowest temperature it can. It works very well and is also great for quick chilling of wine and drinks just remember they are in there. There is an alarm that you can set to remind you of this but you have to remember to set it (which I never do). This is a fancy refrigerator that not only works well but it looks great and is easy to clean. Read the complete review |

I've owned this built in fridge for 5 months now. We fitted it ourselves using the instructions in the manual which were very easy to follow. It fits well into our Ikea cabinet- this may seem an odd comment, but the previous fridge we had, was actually too small for the hole and didn't sit quite right.
It's very spacious, and ... the space is flexible which is a big bonus. There are 3 adjustable shelves, which are easy to remove, and sit firmly in their sockets. The recesses they sit in are easy to clean- although one small thing is that they taper in at the far end so dirt does collect there.
The biggest bonus I have found so far, is the see through door shelves. It means small packets, bottles and jars are all visible, and its very easy to see when the shlf needs a wipe clean. The shelves are also much deeper than I have had before, it means groceries are more secure in there. The bottom shelf easily accomodates 2 litre bottles which is handy.
At the bottom of the fridge is a see through drawer for salad etc. As it's full length, you can fit in a fair bit of veg and salad, and again the transparency means it's easy to see when it needs a wipe. I've also found the salad crisper to be the perfect size for Lakeland Lmds salad crisper roll.
The fridge is fairly quiet- I cant hear it on when in the kitchen - but every now and again it makes a rumbling-hum. Read the complete review |

This is an integrated unit, so is smaller than a free standing fridge.
Within the door there is a dairy compartment and a bottle storage shelf. These can be removed to aid with cleaning.
Within the fridge there are 4 storage shelves and at the bottom salad bin accessible via two frosted lids. If you use these lids ... as additional storage shelves then ultimately you won't use the salad bins, condensation does tend to head down there anyway making it not preferable for salad.
The thermostat within the fridge has an OFF position and positions 1 to 6 enabling adjustment from minimum coldness to maximum coldness. The setting required will depend on your room temperature, how often door is opened, how much food is stored and position of the appliance, for instance near the oven.
As fridge noise goes it is a bit of a rumbler at times, but this could well be the setting that I have adjusted it.
The refigerator does automatically defrost everytime the compressor stops and the water drains down through a drainage hole beneath the salad bins.
The unit dimensions are height 81.5cm, width 59.6cm and depth 54cm, the net capacity is 140 litres. The average daily units of electricity it consumes are 0.47kWh. It has an Energy Rating B. Read the complete review |
