I don't buy a lot of food for the fridge because a a single person i don't manage to consume it all before the sell by date. Equally, it is better for me to have more freezer space so i can make meals for four and freeze them! But then you have an issue of space if you are living in a one bed flat on a one person income. It all adds up to a problem that this fridge/freezer solves. It is small and compact but with ample space inside for a few weeks meals. It is well laid out, attractive and does the job well. It is a good price as well, affordable for us single people (esp us girls who would rather spend our money on shoes!).
The fridge compartment has a spacious drawer which keeps fruit and veg fresh for a good long while (my tomatoes are still hard and a nice red colour and they are approaching week 3!). Two shelves and the door holds two 2 pint bottles of milk, cans down the side (which i find a bit of a waste of space as i never buy canned drinks), and a little shelf for smaller items such as cheese. The freezer compartment is also spacious. I have had this for 6 months now and there is absolutely no frosting, so no need for defrosting. My food stays fresh a lot longer than my old fridge did and it is a slightly smaller model (which means i can cram some rubbish down the side!). All in all, very impressed and suits my single person needs perfectly.
