Advantages: Spacious, A-rating, main/doors shelves are movable
Disadvantages: None
I've had this fridge/freezer since April 2004 and it has been a marvellous appliance. The fridge itself is a very good size, the door shelves are made of a very sturdy plastic and believe me, not all fridges have them this sturdy.
I love this fridge/freezer and I'll be sad to see it go. Let me explain: When we moved house, the kitchen already had integrated appliances so we stuck our fridge/freezer in the shed until the integrated appliances broke down.
We then used our own fridge/freezer but we've decided that despite being great and faultess we need the space so we've gone for an under counter fridge and freezer (Hotpoint as we now know it's a great brand).
We're giving our fridge/freezer to a friend who's helped us a lot with works in the house. I know this may sound daft but I kind of got attached to this fridge/freezer.
Having had to move the food from our old fridge to our new undercounter one I can tell you I notice a big difference already. You don't get as much space as in the RFA60S.
And I didn't pick the smallest under counter fridge of the lot.
The freezer has got good space too. The boxes aren't clear but white although that's not a problem to me.
In the fridge both main shelves and door shelves are movable. And the gap between them is wide, leaving room for high items.
I don't know if they still sell/make this model but if you need a fridge/freezer, try to make it this one. It's fairly quiet, it's A rated and as I said it's spacious.
Another point I liked about it is that being a silver one, it doesn't get as dirty as a white one and it has a rough (to the touch) coating which makes it more immune to bumps!
Summary: A fridge/freezer I'd recommend to anyone

- 08/11/08 I know what you mean by getting attatched to a fridge i MISS my larder fridge a lot as I have had to down size myself and now only have a smaller undercounter fridge. Just cannot get enough stuff into it. Loved the review though. |

- 06/11/08 Hi Nar2, I can't recall how much it cost us back in 2004 but the price is likely to be cheaper now.
I confirm it is easy to wash down inside. I used to use anti-bacterial wipes or warm soapy water with a cloth. |

- 03/11/08 Whoops I misread the A rated part at the bottom! However is it easy to wash down inside? |
