It’s well documented that I’m a slobess in the kitchen. Limited space, adventurous cooking and an ever hungry Morty make every inch matter, in my galley kitchen that is! As well as never having had a brand new cooker, I’ve never had a brand new freezer either. The layout of the galley has always meant I’ve had to put my assorted re-conditioned fridge/freezers right next to the cooker, making the compressor have to work overtime in order to maintain the correct temperature. The inevitable result is burn out after a two year period, and another second hand replacement from my friendly, local white goods supplier. I should add that as well ... Read the complete review

In common with all married couples of 'long-standing' (just approaching 27 years in our case), we have bought a number of personal possessions that we find it very difficult to 'do without'. Thus, when we have stayed at hotels or with friends, when we return home, Heather will frequently say "Oh I did miss our "*******". This "*******" may be our large bed, the facilities of our en-suite bathroom, the waste disposal unit in the kitchen, or (more recently) our LG GR 051 SSF fridge.
