I actually purchased this product 5 years ago I am still so pleased with it. the fridge compartment is so roomy I never have a problem storing food for my family of four .the fridge has 4 shelves in total plus one drinks rack .Three separate shelves these are all safety glass which you can position to the required height you need them they lock in to place using little blocks, this also applies to the drinks rack which is silver it can hold up to 5 bottles. ... Smeg fridges are great and the Smeg FAB28S really is the best looking fridge I think you can get your hands on at the moment. It comes in a wide range of colours and has chrome parts which make it very retro and stylish and it is a great addition to any kitchen. Inside there are many different storage features, such as a dairy box, a fruit and veg container, and six shelves, as well as many storage bins on the inside of the door. The fridge does not have auto-defrost but ice building up is really not a problem at all and has happened to me. ... bought a Smeg Fab 30 a few years ago as I loved its retro styling and ratio of freezer to fridge. Unfortunately within 12 months we had to replace the glass shelving at £12 per shelf. Not ideal but we thought we were just unlucky. So imagine my delight when I needed to replace them again a year later. I contacted Smeg and the shelves now cost £48 per shelf. It is ludicrous to think that for the cost of the replacement shelves, I could buy a new fridge! I asked Smeg if there was any reason the shelves kept breaking and they asked me what I was putting on them!!! When I complained they did agree to send me out 2 shelves free of charge but actually only sent me one....
