This Whirlpool compact refrigerator is a good product compared to others in the same category, though it does have its problems. The fridge is small enough to fit in almost any kitchen space (width 46cm height 85cm, depth 61cm) and consumers may be attracted for it because of this. If you have limited space available, you could do worse to purchase this product, but if you have the room I would avoid it. The product is coloured white with black trim and looks smart.
At 126 litres (4.45 cubic feet), the capacity is excellent in relation to the size of the unit so you can fit more food inside than you would think. Also, there is a decent amount of room between shelves so you can put taller items in the fridge (but not bottles standing up - though these can go in the door shelves) with ease or you can stack items to maximise space. The fridge is effective at chilling most food, but never gets really cold even when on the nighest setting. Also, this Whirlpool refrigerator has a category B energy efficiency rating with usage around 190kWh per year, so I guess if you are big on low emmisions and global warming this will allow you to sleep at night.
The only main problem is that this fridge is quite noisy. It makes various humming noises, and this doesn't just seem to be a problem with my product, as other reviews I have read also mention this.
This is a decent fridge for its size. If you are short on space in the kitchen this is a good bet. If you have more room though, get something bigger and better.
After moving house last year I found that my old fridge didn't fit into the gap in my new kitchen, so I went hunting for a reasonably priced alternative. This is the one I choose. It was under £200 at Tesco Direct and worked out at the best value at the time.
It is a very slim model but actually doesn't seem to have less room inside than my old fridge. This is a good looking fridge, with silver door, black trim and sleek lines.
I was disappointed that there is no cheese compartment, as this is something I was used to using in my old fridge. Additionally the machine is quite noisy, it makes odd sighing and grumbling noises almost as if there were a little animal in it! I have got used to this and don't mind it though.
Overall I'm happy with it, no major flaws and no faults in the year I have owned it.
