Advantages: Good price and great use of space

Disadvantages: Freezer slightly small

We bought this for less than £600 in a sale so for an American style fridge freezer it is pretty cheap. The selling point for us was the capacity to have iced water and ice on tap. This is invaluable. The ice can either be in cubes (although these are in fact shaped like fat slugs!) or crushed which is a great feature. We used to spend a lot on bottled water and now we mainly use the fridge. The fridge itself is very roomy; four shelves which are adjustable, two very deep vegetable/ salad drawers and four compartments in the door which are actually designed to be at a useful height. With many fridges you find that milk cartons and wine bottles are too tall but this one is perfect. Their is an egg holder in the top door shelf as an extra. The freezer compartment looked a little smaller than I expected but it is deceptive. You can fit a huge amount in; again it has three shelves and two drawers that are deep enough to store 3 big bags of oven chips. Quite a bit of the freezer space appears to be taken up with the contraption needed to produce ice but as I said this is worth it. The freezer door also has compartments which is a great design feature and shows that whomever planned this appliance actually thought about it. The only downside is that after a month the fridge started making a noise as if there was a small woodpecker trapped inside it. As we had purchased appliance insurance someone came out and replaced the part straight away and it is now fine. If you are looking for an American style fridge freezer and don't want to spend a huge amount then this looks good and it is easily big enough for the needs of a family of four.
