      Very good product from Zanussi

      {To begin with this review has been updated, taking account of various feedback, you live and learn!}

      Some of you out there might be wondering what on earth there is to say about the humble refrigerator, I mean there is surely very little that can go wrong with a fridge, "Isn't there?" Well believe me, I have had a few and they don't always work like they are suppossed to!

      This is where the excellent Zanussi comes in. A stand alone fridge which is perfect for those of us without massive kitchens, it fits snugly underneath your standard worktop. The Zanussi may not look the biggest on the outside but it has plenty of space inside and the shelves are adjustable to suit everyone's individual needs. Not only do you have the benefit of the adjustable shelves but a fairly substantial vegetable compartment at the bottom.

      Of course you have the obligatory dairy section on the door with your egg holder and flip down compartment. You can also raise the door shelf up to enable you to put bottles or large cartons in the bottom bit of the door. The white bit of plastic which clips onto the fridge door is designed to stop milk cartons and opened cartons or bottles moving about when you open and close the door but it can sometimes be a hindrance as it can be a bit of a squeeze to get some things in.

      The fridge seems to do a good enough job defrosting itself with the auto defrost facility and ideally you should keep it at 3 or 4 setting. The interior light works as it should unlike some other fridges I have owned which seemed to blow bulbs on a regular basis and although a trivial matter, it is a pain to change it.

      All in all a very good refrigerator from Zanussi that has never let me down over the years I have owned it.
