Panasonic DMW-RS1 ... your lucky enough to own an extremely steady tripod (the kind that costs hundreds of pounds and weighs as much as a small child,) or if your camera or lens has a decent image stabiliser, then the chances you won t really need a remote control shutter. Your tripod when used with the cameras self timer will most likely be more than enough to allow you to capture shake free photos, regardless of any environmental factors such as wind. If however, you re like me, in that you have a pretty standard tripod, and take a lot of macro photography, or photos with a high ISO or long shutter speed, then simply pressing the shutter button can result in an slightly blurred image. After having it for a few months I must say it is a must have for anyone who is using any kind of media / entertainment centre. The first thing you notice when you recieve the item is that the reciever is massive! Its not too great a problem thogh, since you can easily hide it in a conspicous place where it will go unnoticed. The actual remote itself is very good, with backlit numbers and a whole hoard of functionality.
