The Apple remote is a great thing to have if you have a MacBook or iPod dock and gives you full control over your media.
The remote is very slim and only have 6 buttons on it. It allows you to control playback of music, movies, podcasts etc and is great if you are watching/listening from afar.
The range of this remote is really good and the infrared signal is strong enough for me to control my iPod from across the room. If you have a MacBook then this remote also works great with Front Row and will makes watching movies or TV shows so much more convenient.
The battery life is also great as the remote automatically disconnects after not being used to save battery power. With low-medium use the original batteries have lasted me 5 months and are still going strong.
Overall this is a brilliant remote and is really handy for travelling and for controlling music at parties. It's mainly aimed at people who have the universal dock or MacBooks so isn't for everyone, but at £13 it is quite a good deal. That said I would recommend buying the universal dock as that comes bundled with the Apple Remote.
