Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote
Advantages: Control DVDs + Windows Media Centre, Quite Useful
Disadvantages: Expensive, Pretty Pointless, Doesn't Get Much Usage
The Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Remote is quite a handy gadget but at a retail price of £19.99, I wouldn't recommend it as it won't prove to be of much use to most Xbox 360 players. I'd only really recommend this remote to players who will be using their Xbox 360 as a DVD player as well as the Windows Media XP control centre where you can access your PC from the Xbox 360.
The remote is quite long and has many buttons on it to control DVDs and a lot more. It has an Xbox guide button, which functions the same as the one on the controller. You can also use it to eject the disc tray and switch the console on and off. Unfortunately, it cannot automatically get DVDs out cases and put them in the disc tray (maybe in 50 years time).
The controller has a pretty good design and is smooth and rounded to hold. The base colour is white to match the rest of the Xbox 360 theme. It takes AA batteries and these last a long time, as the usage isn't very intensive. It's only worth buying if you'll make a lot of use of the DVD player and Windows Media Centre and it can be useful for music and things too. I wouldn't recommend it myself, as it is rather expensive considering the use I got out of mine.
Thanks for reading,
