Iomega ZIP 250 MB USB Powered ... 250MB Zip drive is a dream to use, there is no annoying power cable (thanks to USB) and you don’t need to restart your PC just to use it. Iomega ZIP 250 ... is and how it can and cannot work. But I still haven’t said what a Zip drive is. Well a Zip drive, is a machine which you can use Zip up files onto a special Zip disk. So if you have a Zip drive, you need some zip disks to go with it. You copy files onto your Zip disks by way of the Zip drive. Clear? (Hope so) So now we come to the main bulk of the op, the 250MB Zip Drive from Iomega. Why do I want a Zip disk? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why? Because: it is a cheap way to store large amounts of data very securely, and it makes data very portable as you can take the disk and the drive to where you want the data to be. Iomega ZIP 250 MB USB Powered ... did I want to back-up my photographs onto disks, I wanted to copy them onto another computer. Speed of data transfer was going to be important because digital photographs can result in very large files, particularly at higher resolutions, and I didn?t want to wait several hours while say 100 photographs were transferred from the computer onto the zip drive.
