Looking for a cheap and cheerful CD burner 48x24x48x CD-RW, well look no further. I bought this just after Christmas to replace the one in my PC that had died. It took about ten minutes to fit and set up and about the same with the Nero bundled software and off you go it gives you a free black CD as well so you have everything you need. It may not be the quietest when reading or writing but it is flying at X48, I have burnt data, video and music and have had no problems and no wasted discs at over 100 usages So if you are on a budget and need a burner you wouldn?t go wrong with this piece of hardware ... Don?t be put off by the name, it sounds like its going to be very average, but it certainly isn?t. I bought it because it was to cheep, to replace my aging 8 speed Panasonic. I was very surprised by its performance In a previous review it was said to be noisy, but I found it to be one of the quietest 40 speed drives I have ever herd. The nero software that was included with the drive, is excellent. It supports every format I can think of, cd ?rw, cd text, overburn, 99 min cd?s I have ripped audio cd?s at 30-38 x, without so much as a blip. It can read cd?s that other drives don?t even recognise. Over 50 cd?s written with no failures ... Read the complete review

I bought this machine for just £50 which i consider to be a great bargain, especially when i found it came bundled with NERO, and InCD as well as 1xCDRW and 1xCDR media. No troubles setting it up, the only annoyance i have with it is the noise it makes when reading cds ... be warned this isnt quiet. also the open mechanism is a little slow on my machine - when i first opened it i thought it wasn't going to make it... although it seems to be getting better the more i use it. I have copied around 100 cds and havent had any trouble with it so far, the write speed is currently the fastest you can get, for this price its a real snap. ... Read the complete review
