They work and are understood by the majority of DVD burner on the market. However as a general piece of advice...

Nigel1 Verbatim DVD+R (dual layer) 8.5 GB 2.4x
... dual layer discs come in their own jewel cases thus preventing any damage to the discs. Now dual layer is a great advance over the normal single layer in the fact that you can store almost twice as much information on a dual layer disc as opposed to the single layer. The normal single DVD usually has a capacity of 4.7GB whereas the Verbatim Dual Layers have a storage capacity of 8.5GB. This fact has its obvious advantages. Firstly when you purchase a DVD of a film then it is already in a dual layer format. That is how they can put the film plus all those extra features such as directors cuts or out takes, or different languages etc. on to the disc. That s all due...

Nigel1 Verbatim Lightscribe CD-R 700 MB 52x

Then you open up your preferred software to design an image or text to etch onto the specially coated cd. The laser then ...

Donf18 Verbatim CD-R 700 MB 52x
... would appear from the shelves that CD s are going the way of the good old Vinyl, into obscurity and beyond. With the DVD probably now the main media for saving files to with the exception of those knacky little USB drives CD s seem to be harder to come by these days. It s shame really they have served us so well over the years, and none more so than Verbatim. I recently had cause to make a few audio CD s and therefore needed some media to put the music onto. I chose the 10 pack Verbatim CD-R 700Mb, which came in at around £5 on Amazon, not bad that s only 50p a disc. I know you can get cheaper versions, but in the past I ve ended up throwing more of those t...
