I got these thinking they were a good price - they were on special offer.
Upon checking the dye used in the lead-in info, I learned that these used the cheap CMC dye (rather than the MCC high end DVD's would use such as Verbatim)
I thought id still put these to use using them for movie DVD's; which once I've watched wouldn't really watch again. I backed up a movie, the burn went without any problems - but movie playback was horrible - there were small blotches on the screen, the disc was making lots of noise and the DVD player was constantly spinning the disc trying to locate the data.
Therefore these are not very compatible with DVD players. Maybe useful for data (yet I wouldn't take the risk!)
So these are a nice price but at a cost; your getting cheap dye - therefore shorter archival life and data integrity is at risk.
