I have purchased this item once before because it looked cool and it was on clearance, and when I used them, I now know why.

Imation is not a great brand for making cd's. After a couple of weeks of use in my car, my cd started skipping for no reason. I have never taken out the cd so it could not have gotten scratched, and there is nothing wrong with my car cd player, so I blamed it on the cd. I made another music cd with another one in the pack, and the same problem. Tried the cd in my cd players in the house, also skipped.

I have used these cd's for data as well, and experienced a few problems. They work in the beginning, but always seem to have problems after a few weeks of usage. If you plan to want to hold on to data for a while, I recommend using another brand such as memorex or fuji.

I do have to admit, the only thing I liked about these cd's were the colors. It's much nicer to see a colored disc than the traditional boring gray color. However, other brands make colored discs too, so go with them.

Overall, I was not please with my purchase. Thankfully the discs were only clearance and not that expensive. I have a friend that knows a lot about computer realted stuff, and he told me (after I purchased this item) that Imation is terrible.
