Advantages: Good value, reaonably secure

Disadvantages: None

This brand of cd-r's is sold in most high street technology and computer shops, including the main supermarkets and discount varieties such as Lidl. This product is usually sold at what I find is an accurate price for performance unless they're being sold in a small shop where they've been on the shelf for a long time without being discounted. These discs may not be as robust in use as some other media I've used but I haven't had any real disasters with them.

I have to admit that I don't use these items for very important data back up or crucial material but as a second copy of music to take out on the road or promotional work they do a fine job for my purposes. I recommend Maxell mostly for this kind of application, the everyday use at home or work. I use the product for the transfer of information to co-workers and as a way to stow away the not so important but sometimes used files helping to unclutter an already over full PC hard disk drive.

In my experience these items have run on all the optical drives I've tried them on and I have some very old CD Rom drives installed in newer PCs. The 52x speed is great when in a hurry or under pressure. I also use these for Linux live distros and I know they'll last until a newer version of the distro is released, which admittedly is fairly often.

This spindle fulfills my needs in that they work well and are usually valued at a good price. I can use them for the comings and goings of different file and media demands and yet I'm not too precious about them, if I scratch or damage one there were plenty more where that came from.

Summary: Maybe not the most robust but still worthwhile at a good value price
