I love to take photographs and short videos which I then edit together to make one long slideshow and home video movie. I store these on my computer and on a flash drive but I also like to make DVDs with my DVD maker software. You can create your own interactive menu on each disc and turn each one into a little home movie project. It's something I enjoy doing. In order to do this, however, I need to burn the videos to a DVD disc.
I have used many different brands of discs but I find these Maxell 4.7GB 2x speed discs to be perfect for the job. They store 120 minutes of video. DVD discs actually come in different categories and you will need to check your drive on your computer model to see which type of disc it can use. I prefer to use re-writable discs as they seem to be generally cheaper, more available and easier to fix if the burn process doesn't work. Re-writable means you can erase the data on the disc and use it again and again.
I have a pack of 10 Maxell discs which come in a spindle pack. This means they don't have individual cases and are packed onto a central 'spindle' in a case with a twist off top. The discs are single sided which means they only can be written on one side of the disc. The discs can be marked with pen on the top side although there is no lines marked especially to write any titles on the discs.
You can write data and video to the discs. I find them to be of a good quality and I can't recall ever having one of my Maxell discs ever failing during the burn process. They offer a great solution to video and data storage and I would recommend to anyone who is looking to purchase a reliable, good quality DVD-RW disc.
