Maxell MO 640 MB ... optical disk with a smaller form factor!

Mark-edge recording provides a recording density 1.5 times higher than mark-position recording used in current generation MO. This technology was first employed in Maxell’s proprietary 2GB 5.25” MO disks. The laser wavelength has been reduced as well, in order to form much smaller recording marks – therefore a much higher recording density has been achieved.
