These dual layer discs come in their own jewel cases thus preventing any damage to the discs. Now dual layer is a great advance over the normal single layer in the fact that you can store almost twice as much information on a dual layer disc as opposed to the single layer. The normal single DVD usually has a capacity of 4.7GB whereas the Verbatim Dual Layers have a storage capacity of 8.5GB. This fact has its obvious advantages.
