When I got my bearded dragons they were extremely small and they needed a place to hide and take time for themselves like we all do. With a huge vivarium and not really a quiet location I was given two exo terra caves.

In my vivarium the majority of items are actually exo terra products so I knew the quality of the products I would be getting for myself. The caves are very nice to look at but not only that you have a wide range of sizes to suit the particular pet.

My bearded dragons had two various sized caves because the first was tiny it was a little space for them to crawl under and hide out and they loved it. When they had food they would return to their little cave and relax and then come out when they had calmed down and wanted to play again.
As they grew it was time to use the bigger version of the cave and they loved that as well. I want to mention what this cave is actually like. You have a cave which is very stylish in my view because the hide out appears to be something you would see in a mountain range somewhere.

The cave is so solid all round and this is very good for me because the cave looks nice it has to be solid especially for the kind of prices they are worth. The caves have various looks to them depending on their size as well.

The smaller version is very rounded on top so it appears like an arc shape which slopes around at the end. With the bigger caves they tend to be more robust looking and have a more solid and stronger look overall.

They all have those little entrances and there is one way out and one way in for the pets to get into the cave. They appear on the outside to be small but underneath they are bigger then you expect.
The caves are made from food grain resin and I have no idea exactly what that is but I shall mention that in case people wish to know. The caves have the right colour which is like a sand effect and that makes them appear to be real caves and if you have pets which are meant to be in that environment they adapt to it quite well.

Now my reptiles will walk on top of the caves, they have stood up and tried to lift them before from underneath but this again was not the case. They were so solid they seemed to remain in place throughout their time in my vivarium.

Cleaning these items is easy you just take them out and put them under the tap and wipe them down and they seem to get dirty purely because of the footprints of my bearded dragons and if they get dirty it makes the vivarium look untidy to me.

They are there to provide an area for the bearded dragons to relax, stop stress and find a cool spot after being out in the warm vivarium all day and this is an excellent idea. The price though is my biggest problem the biggest size is around £12 and the smallest roughly is around £6 so the prices for these is quite high.

If people wish to know how durable they are the last time I tried to clean the smallest cave I dropped it from over 6 foot in the air onto a solid floor and it bounced without a single crack, chip or mark. I guess the price reflects the fact these can be very durable.
