Subway ... have really been gaining a strong market in the UK in recent years, after firmly establishing themselves in the U.S. They realise that the chicken, pizza and burger & chips markets have been dutifully covered by all of the well-known heavy hitters, and so have managed to carve out a niche markets for themselves with sandwiches and subs, which, let s face it, we all love and eat. Subway may not be cheap, but it offers huge customisation options and is very delicious, if of course, pretty bad for you. When you enter a Subway store, they tend to be quite small, and you can pick whether to have a 6 inch or 12 inch sub, and then also what kind of bread you want. Fr... Pizza Express ... Express has tried to do away with the notion that pizza restaurants need to cater to the lowest common denominator and can t be a nice, classy place to go out. They manage that quite well, while still being well-priced and quite a fun night out. Pizza Express may not offer the great deals or delivery services of other restaurants, but they are a class act: the architecture of the buildings are very modern, usually consisting of a lot of silver decor and glass windows, meaning that if you dine upstairs you get a nice view of the surrounding area. Domino's Pizza ... s Pizza is a bit of a polarising experience; I have only ever been in one of their restaurants once, and frankly, it is a bit like McDonald s, for the lighting is very high-key and it s not the fun, glamorous outing that something like Pizza Hut is. However, for delivery and collection purposes, Domino s consistently have outdone Pizza Hut, largely thanks to their pricing structure and the frequency of their deals more than anything. Near enough a week doesn t go by where Domino s don t offer a deal of some sort: they offer 50% off at all times to NHS staff, firemen and policemen (not that this applies to me), and often have online deals for orders over £30.
