Nandos: ... s is one of my personal favourites. It s a bit better than real fast food, like McDonalds or KFC, but not quite a proper restaurant (price wise). The food is Portuguese and it s pretty much just chicken, although I think there is one steak thing on the menu! They cook the food in Piri Piri sauce to your desired heat from Lemon & Herb to Extra Hot. I ve found that there are lots of Nando s restaurants n...

Happyjaw Old Orleans
... Orleans, Valley Centretainment, Sheffield I ve eaten at Old Orleans very recently and I loved it. I ll be going back again soon I hope. We originally planned to eat at another restaurant in the same complex but they refused to book us in advance and said a 20 - 30 minute waiting time would be likely. Not with toddlers thanks, so we went back out to try elsewhere. Old Orleans had a sign outside advertising free kids meals, all day every day. That was tempting so we went in, they accommodated us immediately with courtesy and gave the kids balloons, activity bags and high chairs which they loved. We were very quickly served drinks and given plenty of time to decide on ou...

sympatic Frankie & Benny's
... have been to my local Frankie and Bennys twice now and both times my main course has ended up going back, the only reason I found myself in there a second time was that a fried had booked a table for their birthday there so it was not my choice and both times the food was hardly warm and not tasty at all. Frankie and Bennys look to combine Italian and American cuisine and they are part of a chain. Similar in a way to TGI Fridays style restaurants but without quite as much tacky rubbish on the walls. The food is fairly basic, a range of pasta and pizza dishes and then some meat and fish dishes from the grill, most of which seems to come with chips. On both visits I hav...

rugged8 Restaurants in Loughborough
... it comes to pubs and eating out your on a slippery slope as most landlords haven t a clue. Imagine my delight therefore when discovering the Wheatsheaf Inn, Woodhouse Eaves. No bookings are taken for tables as this is a bistro style a la Alpine style. There are always a few disgruntled but by far the majority are seated and served withing an hour in this highly popular venue. They have recently added accomodation too. It s is a fine old country pub but there is a restaurant too. The wine list is extensive, including a highly competitively priced Cristal, and therein lies a clue to the culture here. The family run pub is 3rd generation inn keepers and knows how to se...
