Despite somehow having cornered many of the prime retail sites in the city, no self-respecting Londoner would be seen dead eating at this execrable chain. The poor quality food, unironic 1970s decor and well-meaning but underpaid staff (many of whom have little more than a basic grasp of English) are a throwback to the bad old days when British food was an international joke.
