I was very disappointed not only with the quality of the food which was over priced, but also with the service which was of a very poor standard.
I was part of a group of four, we ordered our starters three of us had fried breadcrumbed prawns which looked like something you would find in the party food section at Tesco and at £6.95 were poor value, the other member of our party had fish cakes which we were informed were tasteless.
For the main meal two ordered lamb shanks which arrived a full five minutes before their vegetables which were in complete, as the sauté should have included olives & tomatoes but came with neither, my wife ordered the sea bream which was very small also with sauté potatoes but she got roast potatoes, I in turn ordered fillet steak which again was very small with sauté without rosemary but they arrived with rosemary, and had to be replaced with french fries, when you consider the cost of the steak with peppercorn sauce cost £22.95 + £ 3.20 per portion of vegetables this was a poor value,we also asked if we could have some asparagus as it was on their Christmas menu but this was refused ,we then asked if we could have some fried courgettes which were not on the menu, we were informed we could, but would have to wait a further 30 minutes, being the restaurant was almost empty which should have been an indicator as it was a Saturday night we said no but would have green beans instead, needless to say the green been had to be returned as they were cold.

Even when the wine came it was wrong as we had asked for prosecco and received the house white, the waitress seemed to not have a clue even down to the fact she did not know what the vegetables of the day was.

For desert I ordered crème brulee with amaretto which was noticeable by its absence, in fact all the deserts looked like something you would find in the freezer section of your supermarket not a supposedly Italian restaurant.
We also were informed the following day that our friend who had the fish cakes was sick all night which is very concerning.
I have had far better in Zizi for a fraction of the price and strongly suggest you give this establishment a wide birth and never dine here

This meal cost us £180.00 and we all feel cheated by not only by the poor service but by poor quality food, clearly this restaurant employs a cook not a chef whose only ability is to only re heat frozen food, the floor staff are incompetent and in this tough economic climate if this restaurant continues to offer such a poor standard it will surely go out of business

Summary: Better places to eat in camberley
