      Very helpful

Everyone knows that Birmingham is one of the best places to find a god curry/balti, but other cities are now doing their best to catch up. Liverpool is one such city. A few years ago i was introduced to 'Asha' indian restaurant on Bold St, Liverpool. I was very impressed. It has the decor you'd expect from an inidan restaurant (carpet wall paper, carnations, english rose crockery) and the ambiance to match. But thats not a bad thing, in fact it makes your meal all the more enjoyable. The waiters are always curteous and will answer any questions you ask, no matter how many times you ask them. The menu is excellent, it has a variety of dishes to suit anyone, and for those that don't want to be adventurous there are always english dishes. To aide in your choice of dish there is a short description. This however leads us to 15 minutes of pondering what to have. (I'd recommend the chicken chat for starters). The food and drink is not overly priced, and on average my friends and i ususally spend £20 each on a 4 course meal (appetizers, starters, main meal and dessert) with a bottle of wine each. You are also allowed to eat at your own pace, you are never rushed by the staff. In fact you are encouraged to take your time and take however long you want (to date the longest we've spent in there is close to 4 hours). And if you can't quite fit in the rest of your meal but really don't want to waste it they are always happy to wrap up any leftovers. So my opinion is that Asha is a great restaurant - brilliant food, brilliant service and not too expensive. Of course i can't go without giving a quick mention to a few other tandoori/balti restaurants. My friends have recommended Master Chef on Renshaw St - i've been told it has great food and it is also Halal.
