I recently took my kids for a meal at ASK in Oxford and having read the reviews for the chain on this site I can only summise that I got them on an off day.

We ordered a couple of Pizzas and a salad. (those who have read my ramblings about pizza express will kno wha I am about to relate) Blimey.... this is bad. Our pizzas were like two inedible digestive biscuits topped with the contents from the swill bin. Cold clammy and utterly foul. I have a bit if a thing about pizza, it has to be just right otherwise you cant digest it and this beleive me was in digestible. The salad was undressed and the beer presented tome was at room temperature. As a subtext to this a table of Americans next to us were served Campari and soda and G&T with no ice, and when they expressed their bemusememn he inept waitress asked "oh! did you want ice then" followed by, "sorry I dont think we have any"...... Oh god this is restaurant hell.

A bitter burned espresso was followed by a bill for £37.00, which was a bit hefty considering that we eat virtually nothing excep a bowl of olives.

If you are in Oxford I wold definitelygive this place a wide berth.
