The Paellea is generous, but best of all is the extensive tapas menu. Theres a lunchtime offer of two for £5, which is a bargain if you pick wisely (the poatato wedges are good value and tasty!). There are good options for vegetarians too, such as chargrilled vegetables, garlic mushrooms, olives, etc. etc. Drinks wise, almost all the ususal is avalible, including special jugs of cocktails during happy hour. Bar Med is a pleasant bar/eaterie/mini disco hybrid, serving various types of Spanish and English food. It isn't quite authentic, in the way "Le Tasca" tries to be; instead it adopts bright orange walls, tiled flooring and an irrtating sun logo which flashes on t.v. screen situatuated inside the building. I visited the Manchester Deansgate branch of Bar Med on Saturday. I thought the food was excellent and very reasonable. I shared the Chicken and Seafood Paella with a friend and our other friend had the Tuna Steak. I tried some and it was delicious. I huge piece of steak that would have cost a fortune in a Supermarket. The service was very friendly and quick and the drinks were reasonable. I will definitely be paying a visit again soon and recommend it to anyone who likes good food. I could have even imagined I was on the Spanish Mainland until peering out of the window and seeing the rain and the 10a bus to Liverpool. Read the complete review
