Bella Italia in GeneralNewest Review: ... for a Saturday but even still. The menu is pretty extensive with something for everyone on and at reasonable prices. We ordered off the childrens menu for the 2 little ones. This was £4.95 and consisted of a choice of about 6 main courses, a drink and a dessert. For ourselves with ordered off the main menu. I had a pasta dish of chicken and vegetables in a white wine sauce that was ... more |

We had a late lunch at Bella Pasta today in Birmingham today thanks to converting my Tesco Clubcard vouchers. When we arrived we were meeting very quickly and although it appeared busy we were found a table for four of us. There was myself, husband, 5 year old and 2 year old. We were quickly brought menus and an activity sheet and crayons for the children and the drinks order taken very quickly which was an added bonus, however as soon as the drinks were brought to us (within 5 minutes) we were asked if we were ready to order. I have to say we were really made to feel as though they wanted us out quickly the turn the table over - I ... Read the complete review

While a Bella Italia can be found in many different areas of Britain, and really I can't remember the last time I visited a new place without walking past one, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a wise choice for dining. Although I will elaborate below, I would say that in short it's overpriced, mass produced and highly overrated food. I've never eaten full price at Bella Italia, because there are always vouchers available online and of course nobody wants to pay full price if they can avoid it! For just this reason I went to my local Bella Italia, which was new at the time to sample some of their food. The menu is rather boring and uninspiring and doesn't ... Read the complete review

We visited Bella Italia in Sheffield last night for a pre-cinema meal. It's only the 2nd time I've been to a Bella Italia (the first been around a year ago in Birmingham) and to be honest, I have mixed opinions about it. Bella Italia is a fairly standard Italian restaurant serving almost exclusively Italian food and drinks - pizzas, pastas etc and (luckily for me) a good old fashion plate of burger and chips (I'm a fussy eater). The food and drink can't be faulted, but the service and price does leave a little to be desired. Around the cinema (Centretainment, if you know it) are a lot of places to eat - Frankie and Benny's, Old Orleans, Bitz n ... Read the complete review

we went to the new Bella Italia at the Lowry Centre in Salford. Big mistake; twenty minutes before anyone turned up with the menu, a waitress who didn't know what was on the menu then the drinks arrived after another ten minute wait. The cool and refreshing blood orange drink turned out to be a can of sweetened, flavoured water - for £2 a throw! There were four or five serving in a near empty restaurant and they all ignored us! Even when ASKED for the menu! Nobody knew what they were doing. We decided to give it a miss and left and no one even asked us why? Totally unprofessional.

Bella Italia is a basic Italian restaurant chain. It does everything you would expect it to; pizza, pasta dishes, lasagne, steaks, salads, etc etc. The menu is great and there is going to be something for everyone. You could quite happily take family and friends alike to this restaurant and be safe in the knowledge that everyone could eat something on the menu. If you are lucky you can get deals at local Bella Italia's for pre-theatre meals, or even just two mains and a bottle of wine for £20. Not bad for a night out. The only complaint I have about my local Bella Italia in Croydon is that it used to be a small family owned restaurant ... Read the complete review
