Advantages: The food is always good, affordable and theres loads of restaurants, all easy to find!

Disadvantages: on Fridays and Saturdays they can be very busy and sometimes cramped!

I first stumbled across a Bella Italia restaurant in Blackpool during a spontaneous car trip from London with my boyfriend, which is a bit ridiculous as there are millions of Bella Italia's scattered in and around London. Our car trip was a bit of a disaster as we didn't quite realise just how long it takes to get to Blackpool from London, then the stressful struggle to get a place to stay the night with the added realization that nothing was open on the strip and even the infamous lights were off - We just needed some dinner and to go to sleep. Bella Italia certainly lifted our spirits.

It was around 11pm and we walked in expecting to be turned away but instead they welcomed us with warm inviting smiles and sat us at a lovely candlelit spacious table in their cosy and well decorated restaurant. I found that the staff were very attentive and pleasant and at no point during our meal, unlike in many other restaurants especially so late at night, did we find ourselves being rushed.

As for the food, it was so good that I even remember what I ordered the first time; Linguine Gamberi which was quite obviously a Linguine dish with king prawns in a spicy tomato sauce with garlic, chilli, parsley and it even had a few butterfly prawns on top...when the dish came out I was pleasantly surprised, usually I find that when you order prawn dishes you're lucky to get 6-7 prawns but at Bella Italia I had more prawns then linguine haha.

The food is reasonably priced and the service really was great, and as an added bonus we were given a 50% off our next meal voucher which of course I used, this time in one of the many restaurants in Leicester Square London with my boyfriend and two friends this experience was not as successful, the food was still very good and the staff very friendly but the restaurant was very busy and cramped, to me I think it depends on what restaurant you go to and what day and time...

I think giving a conclusion to the Bella Italia restaurant chain is complex as it does depend on what restaurant you go to but it is worth noting that the food has been consistently good and is always affordable!

Summary: Overall a good, affordable place to eat!

If you want to sample this chain on the cheap register on their website - each month they send you a voucher (money off, free bottle of wine etc).

They also have a great kids menu that my toddler loves
