Advantages: good food, good choice, not expensive

Disadvantages: is a little charmless

Bella Italia is a basic Italian restaurant chain. It does everything you would expect it to; pizza, pasta dishes, lasagne, steaks, salads, etc etc. The menu is great and there is going to be something for everyone.

You could quite happily take family and friends alike to this restaurant and be safe in the knowledge that everyone could eat something on the menu.

If you are lucky you can get deals at local Bella Italia's for pre-theatre meals, or even just two mains and a bottle of wine for £20. Not bad for a night out.

The only complaint I have about my local Bella Italia in Croydon is that it used to be a small family owned restaurant that has lost a little of it's old charm having been taken over by Bella Italia. With an ever-same menu in place of the old specials they used to offer. But the staff are always lovely, and attentive without being overbearing. The food is always hot and tasty. And the bill is never shocking.
