Advantages: nothing, nothing, nothing
Disadvantages: everything, everything, everything
This Place was very nice indeed until the management change, which occured around 3 months ago... In the past 12 month I might have been into this place around 8-10 times. The last two times were the worst ever. Last saturday(13-040, My girl friend and I wanted to have a nice relaxing time for my birthday. Following is the complete stor : - Called the Place to make a booking, but it was refused, the person I had on the phone said that they did not take Booking for tables of two on the week end ... - Showed up anyway, we were only offered the table next to the door >> We refused it and decided to wait for 10 minutes to avail of a table onto the first floor. - In the means time we ordered a bottle of their more expensive bottle of wine to wait. - one of the waiter approached us to remind us that we will only be able to have the table for 90 minutes (this place is not in the city center...) - We had to accept as the wine was already opened(46?). Eventually we got our table. - after 82 minutes, we were still finishing our main course) they gave us the bill ??? of cousre we were not asked for dessert choices. - Check the total >> just in case and it seems OK. Gave my credit card and 2 minutes after the receipt came back but the amount which have been charge was not the one of the bill which was given to us. - Called in the manager and he just said that the first bill was a mistake !!! - He then said " you have to pay this and to go".also He was shouting at us while telling us this, I am not joking. - We then left and before to open the door to go elsewhere to have a good time, that "manager" shouted at us again: You will not come in my restaurant again...(as if anybody that night would like to come into this palce again). The morale of that true story is that if you want to have a meal in Dublin 6 on a week end, and if you are only two, your best bet is to find a fich and
chip... Bon Appetit.

- 16/05/02 I haven't rated this, as it would be unfair of me to do so.
Cicero's is one of my favourite Italian Restaurants in the city, and I have never had any type of problem there whatsoever.

- 20/04/02 Sounds terrible - very rude staff. Try spell-checking your writing before submitting and adding some more detail about the place - what kind of food they serve, atmosphere (loud music, romantic, family restaurant, etc), specialities, etc. |
