The Birdcage, tucked away in Whitfield street behind Tottenham Court Road, is a surreal and beautiful place. It's dinner-as-theatre, from the menus which arrive as origami birds in cages, to one of the wierdest desserts I've ever had (strawberry and chilli sorbet).
