Newest Review: ... There was just one toilet, the room had a few decorative touches. There's also an upstairs area to the restaurant which we didn't see, I can't imagine it's much bigger than downstairs. We ordered the beef chilli jacket potato (£6.50), the hummus and roast vegetable salad, (£5.95), and from the children's menu, (1.95), egg and beans on toast. We also ordered a pot of tea, glass of juice and a beer. The bill came to around £20.00 which was reasonable enough. Service did take a while longer than expected, about thirty minutes. Bistro Moelwyn, (pronounced MOI-loo-in, named after the surrounding mountain range), is on the High Street in the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. My visit took place toward the end of August 2011. Our party of three arrived in the early evening and sat at a table in the downstairs area. It's rather small, just four tables, three of them in the window, plus one low coffee table with armchairs in front of a small bar. The atmosphere seemed quite relaxed, the waiting staff were pleasant enough. There were books out on the coffee table and paintings by local artists were exhibited on the walls.
