A great little chip shop that provides tasty food at a great price

Blue Lagoon is one of those names that I have seen more and more around Glasgow and the surrounding areas so having spotted one in my local town centre I decided to give it a try (my thinking being if it is doing that well that they have a number opening all over then it must be doing something right).
The Blue Lagoon chip shop in Dumbarton town centre is a fairly well sized one for a take away and has a seating area with a number of tables to the rear of the food counter. The front end is the take away section and you have 2 doorways with an entrance door and an exit door so as to ensure you don't bang in to each other as you are leaving and someone else is coming in to get their order. The staff are helpful and quick and pay attention to you well so you don't need to repeat your order over and over but I would not go as far as to say they are friendly.
The service my wife and I normally use from this place is the take away service which is quick and easy as you phone your order and give your address and within about 20 minutes the order is with you with the food being freshly cooked for all home delivery orders.
The food itself is normally fairly fresh as they don't like to have too much food out in the hot plate area but if there is something not ready they will happily make it to order for you.
So what of the price? The prices are fairly standard with some examples being fish supper £3.80, sausage supper £3.10, king rib supper £3.60, haggis supper £3.10, steak pie supper £3.10 or a portion of chips for £1.40.
Overall the quality of the food on offer is nice and I have yet to have anything either overdone or underdone which I normally have found in other chip shops in the local area (normally overdone). Taste is good and fresh and with delivery times quick you can use this for a speedy meal every so often and know the quality will remain the same every time.

      Positives:

      - Fresh cooked food
      - Helpful and quick staff
      - Speedy delivery times
      - Seating area at rear of kitchen area
      - Soft drinks also available
      - Good value for money
      - Good size portions

      Negatives:

      - Staff not always very friendly

This is a good chip shop that offers nice and fresh tasting food whilst keeping the price reasonable. Delivery times are good and the food is freshly prepared for any home delivery orders.
