Advantages: Great taste, and very filling meals

Disadvantages: not many resaurants in my area anymore :(

Burger King started out as one restaurant situated in Miami, America in 1954, but now has grown massively and has over 11,000 resaurants in 72 countries. So why are there so few in Manchester?

I remeber there was always burger king in every town centre, now there is only one i know of in Manchester city centre (near Picadilly gardens) and the rest are on the motorway and in airports!! I don't go to Burger King very much because of this, but only the other day i was in Manchester and had the urge to go, even though it was out of my way it was a rare chance to get some.

Having arrived at Burger King instantly i noticed there had recently been a refit or refurbishment, although i don't think it was to a great standard and most the same fittings had been kept still this was an improvement on my last visit.

There wasn't much of a que as it was after dinner time and i was served straight away, the women who took my order was new and needed a little help from a senior member of to use the till (i didn't mind this as she was very polite and it was dealt with quickly).
I ordered my usual and fav meal in Burger King
Double Whopper Meal with cheese made Large with coke as my drink, as always the food didn't let me down. Alot of people prefer Mcdonalds for burgers but i find Burger king to taste more like beef and is much more filling, the chips aren't the best and i probably would rather have Mcdonalds fries as they're crispier and taste more fresh.
As for the the drink well coke is coke.

Having realised there seems to be very few Burger King restaurants in Manchester and the surroundings areas (especially in comparision to other fast food places such as Mcdonalds and Subway) i looked on the web site to see if there was more, sadly i was right very few near me except in motorway services.
While on the website i thought about how many calories i'd consumed during my visit here it is-

Double whopper with cheese-
Calories 960
fat 60g
of which sats 22g
carbs 50g

Large fries-
Calories 388
Fat 18g
of which sats 7g
carbs 53g

Large coke-
Calories 252
Fat 0g
of which sats 0g
Carbs 64g

Ok so this really isn't the most healthy meal out there but it is fast food!!
i dont like to eat things like this too much but when i do i make the most of it :)

Summary: Best burgers, but the fries aren't to good

geez, after looking over those calories it seems like 1 meal at bk might be your entire day's worth of calories.. but they're so good!

There's a fair few around me but I don't really eat there that much. Only now and again. I have had their £1.99 / £2.99 meals though. They're pretty good value even if the burgers are a bit small.
