I knew I liked McDonalds, but I never realised just how much until I visited a Burger King last week while on holiday.
We stopped half way through our journey to Somerset at a Little Chef/Burger King. We had to wait ages to be served, and when we finally got the food it was horrible. The chips were some of the most disgusting I've ever tasted, I don't know what sort of fat they cook them in! One good thing is that you can leave out any ingredients you don't like ( I hate lettuce and my husband can't stand tomatoes ).
The kids' meals were disappointing too, dinosaur shaped nuggets and chips, and the free toy was the cheapest, tackiest thing you can think of. A plastic dinosaur which you had to assemble yourself; the head and tail fell off within minutes. My children were distinctly unimpressed. At £2.49, they're 50p more expensive than McDonalds Happy Meals, and not a patch on them. And to top it all, they didn't have any milkshakes!
I'll take a packed lunch next time I'm travelling!
