The King Of The Burger
Member Name: CheekyCharlie08
Advantages: Yummy food; Tastes lovely and fresh; Good choice of meals
Disadvantages: Very expensive
Me and my mate was out on Saturday dinnertime so we popped into Burger King for something to eat and even though I'm not mad keen on burgers I enjoyed my meal, probably because it's something I've not had for a long time and you always seem to enjoy food you don't eat very often.
I had a Smoked Bacon And Cheddar Angus with fries, onion rings and a hot chocolate because it was freezing out and I needed warming up! My meal came to about £6.00 and I also ordered a pot of bbq sauce and one of ketchup, it's annoying when you've spent money in here that you then have to pay for your sauces as well but even McDonalds have started charging for sauce now.
My food was wicked, the Angus burger was cooked perfect and I always think BK burgers taste loads meatier than the cardboard crap you buy in McDonalds. You get cheese and nice smokey bacon on the burger with the bacon actually being cooked nice instead of left all stringy and chewy on top of the burger. The fries in BK are loads nicer than Mcdonalds as well because they taste like proper chips instead of being hollow and bland like 'McFries'! Onion rings are a standard item on the menu and they are proper tasty dipped in bbq sauce, i love how crispy the batter is because it goes so good with the soft onion inside.
They do quite a wide range of food including 4 different chicken burgers, a fish burger, veggie options and 15 different sorts of meat burgers. You can swap and change ingredients as well for no extra cost because BK have always had that catchphrase that you can have your food as you want it and whenever I've asked for something a bit different it's always come perfect and the staff don't moan or look at you like you're being awkward like they do in McDonalds if you dare ask for your burger without gerkin!
They always have a few limited options that are usually seasonal like ones with onion rings on top of the burger and extra salad in the summer and they usually bring a special menu out for over Xmas or a general winter menu. You can get a breakfast from BK and the options always look loads fresher and tastier than in McDonalds, I've not had brekkie from there but the big pictures of the menu items always look proper tasty it's just that I'm never in town early enough for one! I'm not mad keen on the desserts in BK but my mate always has a piece of apple pie and she loves that, the vanilla milkshakes are yummy though and it was a toss up between the hot chocolate and a milkshake on Saturday but the hot chocolate won when I looked out of the window at the rain!
The BK restaurants are always quite big and there's loads of seats, the one in Birmingham city centre is always clean and the staff are proper friendly. I remember i had to complain one time because there was a hair in my burger and that nearly made me sick, the manager gave me a refund for my meal and my mates plus took my name and address and a couple of weeks later they sent me a voucher for £15.00. It took me a while before I could stomach going back in after the hair incident but eventually I told myself it was a one off and even though it's a horrible thing to find at least it wasn't a dead mouse! lol
There are 2 things that mean I don't go to BK as much as I'd like because I only go in about 3 or 4 times a year even though I love their food. The first is that they only seem to be in city centres and service stations and I don't visit either of them places very often, also BK is MEGA expensive with most meals being about £5.00 and any extras you add are well over £1.00. To give you an example I took both my little sisters and our cousin in for a meal when we had that mad snow at the start of the year and for 3 meals plus a small fries and an ice cream for my sister who wasn't even, I remember this cost nearly £20.00 and I thought that was a bit much for a fast food burger meal.
Summary: A Yummy Filling Dinner But Proper Expensive
