Advantages: Nice Food

Disadvantages: Prices

Finishing off my reviews on the popular high street fast food places, I conclude with somewhere that everybody should know about and where I had my tea last night. I am not impressed with Burger King although the food is great and I will let you know later on in my review. Still though if you are after fast food then you could do worse than Burger King.

What is Burger King?
Ok so you can probably guess this from the name but this is a fast food restaurant which sells predominately burgers. It is fast food so you are served quite quickly and the logo is the name Burger King which is in the middle of a burger bap. Then it has a blue swish around the logo. It looks quite good actually but not as recognisable as something like the M from McDonalds.

You can find Burger Kings everywhere as they are on high streets in towns and cities and I have even seen one in a village which was a bit mad. They are also at service stations, big shopping centres and you can find them sometimes just randomly by main roads so you can always find one when you want one which is a good thing.

As it is classed as a restaurant you will find simple seating areas in Burger King and most of them do contain reasonably sized car parks.

The Food
Ok so you do have a lot of choices on burgers at Burger King - surprise surprise! They have normal hamburgers and cheeseburgers which are just over £1 each and is a bit more expensive than McDonalds but the burgers taste different here. Whereas McDonalds are yummy but leave you wanting more, Burger King Burgers taste flame grilled and a lot more like meat. They also are thicker and do just in general have a better taste.

Then one of my favourites is the whopper which is a beef burger but you get tomatoes, lettuce and mayo on top with other salad. It is very substantial and I can only just manage to eat the whole thing as it is huge hence the name. The actual whopper sandwich on its own costs £4.19 which to be honest I do think is a little expensive and a meal is £5.89.

If you don't fancy beef then you can choose from chicken or fish. Burger Kings chief chicken burger is the chicken royale which is lovely but the chicken always tastes a little bland to me and you rely on the sauce they put on to give it taste. You can however get the chicken royale with cheese or even with sweet chilli sauce which I have tried and it was yummy! The chicken royale meals are about £6 which again for fast food it does seem a little expensive.

If you don't fancy a burger you can get chicken bites which is like popcorn chicken really but it is nice. Then you have a fish fillet burger which I have not tried as I think it would be a little strange. Maybe one day. Then for people who don't like meat at all you can get a vegetable burger which is a veggie patty with some sauce. I have tried this and although it is a little bland I still enjoyed it and it filled me up.

Burger King do do a kids range which is a couple of pounds and you can get mini burgers, chicken bites or strips and a veggie burger. This is good as if you do go to McDonalds the burgers are the same size as the adults burgers.

Then as every fast food place is doing at the moment you can choose a salad but as I never do I can't tell you much more about what the salads are like but rest assured they are there.

There is also a burger King breakfast menu where you get butties basically and you can have egg, bacon or sausage or all of them on a sandwich. I have never tried any of the breakfast menus so I can't give you much more information on them.

The last thing to tell you about is the desserts which you can choose from apple pie but this is your classic apple pie which is classic pastry and apple inside. These are really nice as I have had a few but they are so filling. They only cost around £1 though so worth it to finish off your meal with something sweet. I have also tried the ice-cream they have which is cheesecake or shortbread and the shortbread one is the one I had and it was so yummy!

Conclusion
So I like Burger King as for a fast food place they do get you your food very quickly and the food is of a very good standard when you get it and I have always found it be piping hot. I think the menu choice is good and there is enough there to suit anybody's taste and fancy. The staff are relatively friendly and do their job so I cant think of anything bad from that point.

My only issue with Burger King at the moment is I think the prices are very high at the minute for their popular dishes which wouldn't matter usually but McDonalds, KFC and Subway are a lot cheaper so if I had a choice of them all, Burger King would probably be last in my list.

Saying that though I had some good food from there tonight and really enjoyed my tea so I could have done a lot worse.

Thanks for reading.
