I dined at leeds Cafe Rouge at the light, headrow , leeds today. This was my first visit to the Headrow restaurant, but have dined many times at the Leeds Corner Exchange site of Cafe Rouge, and have had many a happy meal there. I was therefore very disappointed to have 'SUB STANDARD' meal.

I ordered King Prawns in tomato garlic sauce for my starters. The price for this was £5.95. I was therefore very disappointed to received a tiny turine with excactly 5.5 prawns in it. thats' exactly £1 for every one. I advised the manager that as a consumer that this was not acceptable and refused it and sent it back. The manager advised me that this is the spec that Cafe Rouge say they have to serve.

My main course was your 5 minute steak. I requested peppercorn sauce, the steak was cold, the sauce was oxo with cream and the side salad was brown looking and looked like it had seen better days.

My daughter ordered pasta with tomatos, that was basically a plate full of pasta with 3 cherry tomatoes on it.

We were charged £42.o0 for the meal, there was a deduction for the kings prawns and steak. I am disgusted with the level of service and the sub standard food and will think again before I attend a Cafe Rouge restaurant. I would very much like to hear your thought on this.
